My ceramics tell stories that are human, they are
relatable to the viewer and each one has its own meaning. My work stems from
exploring the human form from the inside and out, feelings, characteristics and
emotions to the hard exterior always trying to better itself. This provides me
with the fascination of this subject as we are so exposed to media and
advertisements on how to achieve the perfect shape an image of what we should
all look like and it’s not realistic.
I strive to make the rendering of the figures
visually stimulating and even alluring. My wish is for the viewer to be
confronted with this realisation and to see theses issues in a different light.
